Check Out Priscilla Shirer

Hello Everyone,

I hope that each of you are doing good today.

This is a shout out post to Priscilla Shirer.  My Mom, Chaquita and myself got to see Priscilla live at Central Church in Collierville, TN.  She spoke at a church leaders dinner where I my friend and prayer partner Nicole introduced us and Jerry her husband.  They are the cutest couple.  It was a great weekend!!!  My Mother still talks about it.

I highly recommend you check out Priscilla Shirer.  She is a woman of God, who listens to God and is does not hold back sharing His Word. Her ministry is called Going Beyond Ministries.  Check out her website at www.goingbeyond.com.  She is also on our Link List. (right hand side scroll down.)

Be blessed and much love to you,

Jamison

PS: Hi Linnae!  It was great meeting you.  Nicole and Jay are the best!

Let The Church Say, AMEN!!

Good Morning! Andrae Crouch is responsible for writing the beautiful song, "Let the church say, Amen!" If you have not heard of this song, please visit YouTube and take a moment to listen not only to the song but to the WORDS written in the song. At times, we become so hypnotized by the melodies, harmonies to where we don't receive what the songwriter meant for us to receive through the WORDS. One famous section of this entire song I enjoy is:

Make this your response… AMEN
To whatever he says …AMEN
From the healing of your body…AMEN
To the raising of the dead…AMEN
No matter how you feeling…AMEN
Or how your world is reeling…AMEN
Battle on through the night…AMEN
Cause you’re going to win the fight…AMEN
Even in the valley…AMEN
Or standing at your red sea…AMEN
Continue to say…AMEN
Cause your help is on the way.. AMEN
My God has spoken
I heard him..LET THE CHURCH..So let the church say…SAY AMEN

And if you're feeling creative, insert your own personal statement and just say AMEN!!!

Remember God loves you and so do I! Have a blessed day!

Love,

Chaquita

Remember Not The Former Things...

Good Morning! If you'd ever experienced any type of heartache from someone, did you secretly wish for that person to feel your pain as well; wanted them to understand what you were going through? Come on, BE HONEST! Now, you anxiously begin processing the situation, analyzing the problem(s), understanding why it had to happen and out of all the millions of people in the world, "why me"? Once you've passed through these mind-boggling areas, consoled your aching heart and mind, you now have to find the strength to forgive.

If this proves to be difficult for you to do, I encourage you to revisit scripture Luke 23:34 which reads, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". Even at His point of death, Jesus asked for forgiveness for all humankind. Jesus didn't sing the "woe is me" song or dwell in a pity party frenzy, He simply asked for forgiveness. WOW!!!!

Brothers and Sisters, let's remember to CRUCIFY the FLESH, NOT PEOPLE (family, friends, loved ones, etc)...move past your hurts, your pain and frustrations and pray for the strength to forgive. None of us are perfect. Matthew 6:15 (KJV) "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses".

Please stay in prayer! The devil does come to steal, kill and destroy. And if he can detour you in any shape, form or fashion outside of God's will, he most certainly will. Don't let the enemy in! Guard your eyes, heart, ears and mind. Feast on things that are good, pure, lovely; feast on God's Word.

Isaiah 43:18 (KJV) says "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old".

Praying each of you will continue to have a blessed and wonderful week!

Love,

Chaquita

Don't Drown In Your Own Desires

The term SELF generally refers to a focus on the needs or desires (interests) of oneself (Wikipedia). Self will oftentimes focus on things that matter to them such as "when will I see him/her again, when will I get married, why did I not receive a call from him/her, when will I have kids?" These are only a few thoughts that tend to plague the SELFish mind of us all. Yes, I said all. If you have never experienced this type of anxiety, please let me know, lol...Readers, if you look closely within these questions, you'll see the "I" being utilized multiple times. Why is this? Revisit the first line and you shall see.  Luke 9:23 clearly states, "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."  So what if you'll never see or hear from him/her again; obtain the the house on the hill with a white, picket fence; or have any children to tend after? Would you still doubt God's faithfulness? We better not! God isn't punishing us nor does HE wants us to dwell on the 'have nots'. Instead He said in 1Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  Brothers and Sisters, begin to forget about yourself, concentrate on HIM and worship Christ our Lord.

During the "wee" hours of the morning, God dropped this subject on my heart. And I'm thankful for that! Honestly, this message was an eye opener for me and Lord I am sorry. If this message has convicted you in anyway, don't ignore, begin to repent now and ask Him to strengthen you as you walk daily with Him. Re-direct your focus, attention, needs and desires on HIM, not man. If you'll be obedient, patient and faithful He will diligently reward you.

Be Blessed is my prayer!

Love,

Chaquita

Happy Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Special hello to all of you mother's!  Including you who are like a mother to other!  Sunday May 13th is your special day.

We will by cards, gifts and the restaurants will be packed this weekend because Mom is not cooking!  My Dad and I are taking my Mow to her favorite steak restaurant were she only eats the salmon.  Go Figure!  Got to love my Mother!

Over the years I have noticed that I say a lot of the words and phrases she says.  It makes me wonder how a mother can make in impact even when they aren't aware that they are.  That is why whether we are mothers, want to be mothers, spiritual mothers or like a mother to others, we must be mindful of ALL we say and do.  Some one is always watching you and learning from.  Lets make sure they are seeing and learning good things.

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, Chaquita's Mom, and to all of you!

 Much Love,

Jamison

Embrace The Moment

Good Morning! In the book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, we're made aware that there is a time for everything. Jamison and I were conversing on yesterday about the many testimonies we've shared in our lives and we finally came to this conclusion: Embrace the Moment! Whatever your season in life is, just embrace it.Personally, I feel as though I'm standing in front of the Red Sea and not sure of what to do. In the meantime, I will continue to seek God's face for direction and believe that He will open a pathway for my good, just like He did for the children of Israel. I will continue to praise Him and acknowledge how all the glory belongs to Him!! Sometimes we look at our situations, whether big or small, and think "it's not going to get any better" or "when will this end". Let's not wonder in the wilderness any longer. Begin to study and learn your season!!! First, you must recognize what season you are in , 2) Apply biblical principles to your season(s), 3) PRAY, PRAY, PRAY and 4) Include God in ALL that you say and do. Again, just remember to embrace the moments you encounter in life; whether good or bad, and submit yourselves to the will of God.

May each of you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Love,

Chaquita

National Day Of Prayer

Hello Everyone,

Did you know that today is the National Day of Pray here in the United States of America?  There are special events all focused on prayer happening around the country today.  Please take time to pray for our nation, our president and our armed forces.  They all need our prayers.  This is not a political post or blog so please don't think I am giving support to anyone in politics.  Prayer is important for us all!  We all need it including those in our government.  Pray for the citizens in our country who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that their hearts will be touched and that they will see the light of Christ Jesus in us leading them to Him. Amen.

I am including the President's comments on the National Day of Prayer from the official National Day of Prayer website.  We may want to also visit it at www.nationaldayof prayer.org.

Be blessed is my prayer for each of you.

Much Love,
Jamison

From the President of the United States

2012 NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER PROCLAMATION
Prayer has always been a part of the American story, and today countless Americans rely on prayer for comfort, direction, and strength, praying not only for themselves, but for their communities, their country, and the world.
On this National Day of Prayer, we give thanks for our democracy that respects the beliefs and protects the religious freedom of all people to pray, worship, or abstain according to the dictates of their conscience. Let us pray for all the citizens of our great Nation, particularly those who are sick, mourning, or without hope, and ask God for the sustenance to meet the challenges we face as a Nation. May we embrace the responsibility we have to each other, and rely on the better angels of our nature in service to one another. Let us be humble in our convictions, and courageous in our virtue. Let us pray for those who are suffering around the world, and let us be open to opportunities to ease that suffering.
Let us also pay tribute to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have answered our country’s call to serve with honor in the pursuit of peace. Our grateful Nation is humbled by the sacrifices made to protect and defend our security and freedom. Let us pray for the continued strength and safety of our service members and their families. While we pause to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending liberty, let us remember and lend our voices to the principles for which they fought — unity, human dignity, and the pursuit of justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2012, as a National Day of Prayer. I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I call upon individuals of all faiths to pray for guidance, grace, and protection for our great Nation as we address the challenges of our time.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.
BARACK OBAMA

Walls: Keep Your Guard Up

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!!!

I apologize for not greeting you on yesterday. I'm trusting each of you are steadily "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". It's truly a wonderful feeling in knowing that we are His children and because we're His children we have been called as heirs to His kingdom, AMEN!!!

In reference to Jamison's post, she listed issues that tends to play a role in each of our lives such as distractions, personal issues, family issues, etc without seemingly knowing that her post will intricately play a role in the topic I'm about to share with you, WALLS: KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!

The book of Nehemiah is solely based on a man whose main task was to build a wall as ordained by God. Without hesitation, Nehemiah complied but this task was not easy. He faced threats, oppositions, and need I say, distractions. Referencing Nehemiah 6 (I so love this chapter), he was doing the work of the Lord until he was met with distractions or tricks of the enemy (Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem the Arab). They tried to detour Nehemiah from building the wall by using false accusations and threats but Nehemiah replied to these accusations by saying" For they all made us afraid saying, their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands", (Nehemiah 6:9)...Nehemiah didn't stop what he was doing nor did he become distracted by the enemy; he diligently and faithfully depended on the Lord for help and we see that the wall was built in 52 days!!! So I say to you, BE ENCOURAGED! Yes, the enemy will do EVERYthing that He can to get you from doing God's work but BE LIKE THE TREE THAT'S PLANTED BY THE WATER...DO NOT BE MOVED!!!

Father, it's with great pleasure and joy that I come before you in the name of Jesus. Lord, thank you for shielding each of us from dangers seen and unseen. Thank you for your endless forgiving ways toward us. Lord, we thank you. Father, we shield ourselves in the armour of God while singing praises unto you. For we think it not strange concerning these fiery trials as though something strange is happening to us but we count it ALL JOY when we fall into divers temptations. Lord, it's because of You we are able to lift up our eyes whence cometh our help, our help cometh from You. Hallelujah! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, we thank you and Amen....Amen!!!

P.S. Leaders are targets for attacks. Please remember to pray for our spiritual leaders and their families.

Thank You!

Love,

Chaquita

May Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

It is nice to take a little break this morning and give you the new memory verse for the month of May! This month the verse is coming from Proverbs.

"Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you"
Proverbs 4:25 NIV

I have this verse on a sticky note on the wall next to my desk at work.  Sometimes we get so distracted by our issues, drama, other peoples issues and drama, work problems, spouse problems, kid problems and then our own personal problems.  With all of these issues and problems we take our eyes off of the mark (goal) we are supposed to be running towards.  What is the goal you say?

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV

The goal is to live our lives for Christ Jesus!  To push to be more like Him.  To follow His commands and teachings.  To obey God.  These are the life goals of a Christian.  Our prize is in heaven so we must keep pressing (praying, living right, working for the Lord) until we get there.  I encourage you to read the entire 3rd chapter of the book of Philippians to help you better understand what Paul is talking about and to help you know what you are running for.  Be Blessed!

Much Love To You All!

Jamison
